TO DO SOMEONE v. 16th century. To have sex with someone. One of the most enduring terms for sexual activity, still in common usage. Used by the Old Bard himself, e.g. ‘I have done thy mother’ in Titus Andronicus.

DOWNSHIRE n. 19th century. A minor hillock with a light covering of down, i.e. a lady’s muff. Can also be used for the vagina.

DOXIES n, pl. 16th century. Prostitutes or female beggars. Possibly stems from the Middle Dutch word docke, which means doll.

EEL-POT n. 19th century. Vagina. Final destination for a man’s wriggling, trouser pet. Term suggests the female genitals’ use as a receptacle, the eel being the penis.
